I would like to share with Dan's fans....my story of Dan. I met Dan by way of a mutual friend; Jack. Sherry and I attended a few performances that Dan had given. I bought the first cd...loved it...some family from Halifax visited so I gave it away to them. So I bought me a new one and one for Sherry (the most important lady in my life). My son heard it and I had to send one to Alberta for him.
More great concerts....
The second cd. I bought one for me on a wednesday...my aunt and uncle from Halifax were visiting on Thursday....so the new cd was sent with them.
I bought one for Sherry...for the car...(honey i bought it for us...but happy easter)...and she still has the easter bunny gift.
So I have no...new...cd. I stop at Bennetts Market to buy anther one. Game over and Bobs your uncle....I finally have my copy....happy as a pig...before a ham dinner...
we have family in for a visit...two sisters...not nuns....just aunts of mine....we call them the twisted sisters
they both live in the same seniors complex...side by side...
they loved dans music...so my cd gone again...on a saturday afternoon...
End of Story...it should be and i should go buy myself a cd

I work as a Courier...Altimax...in fact.
I did a pick up on the Post Road in Antigonish and was going back to town....and I see a vechile on the side of the road...I ignored it...until I realized it was Dan...He was stopping to give me a cd...i owe him for the money....but i cant put a price on the gift of meeting him and his wonderful wife cathy

sherry and i plan to see you in country harbour. sherry is taking her daughters with her. my son and his girlfriend will be attending as well. My son wants to meet you and get an autographed copy of the new cd. i told him i would try to pull some strings.

it will be a great time for our family (sherrys and mine....our version of the brady bunch)...and it will be another excellent performance.

Sherry and I got your new cd last week and have been playing it ever since. All of the songs on it are fabulous. Lets do something wild tonight; Open road; Chasing whiskey ...chasing dreams have become instant favorites. However "One Of The Girls" is really catchy...I know this one is going to be hot for you.
Quick Story...
My son came to visit a few nights ago. I told him I had a new favorite song. I didnt tell him the song or the artist. I just started playing "One Of the Girls"...a few words into the song...he says "Dan Mason has a new cd?"
I laughed and asked "How did you know it was Dan?"
He replied "Hearing Dan Masons voice on a new song is just the same as hearing George Jones do a new song...the voice is very recognizable."
So heres to you Dan...Geroge Jones can now brag...he has been comapred to you.

Picked up a copy of the new CD and I must say, I am quite impressed. "One of the girls" is very catchy, and I also like "Chasin Whiskey, Chasin Dreams" and "I need you". And my mom would have loved "Robeson County" with the nod to yours, and my, Loyalist heritage. Great stuff. All the best to you. It's great to hear honesty in today's music. Most of the stuff on the radio is so contrived, it's mind numbing. The CD also sounds excellent, as in well recorded. If you ever need a spare guitar player, give me a ring. :-)
