Dan Mason: Bio

Dan Mason

Dan Mason
Singer/Songwriter

“Singing has always been a passion for me and country music has always been my genre of choice."

Dan Mason was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and raised in nearby Isaac’s Harbour, Guysborough County. The people of this rural area prefer their music country style and this upbringing formed the basis for Dan’s love and respect for Country Music.

Dan's road to music has been a meandering one... he spent a few years working as a Nurse and he holds a B.Sc. (Health Education) from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. But through it all, he has always managed to keep playing music and writing his own songs.

Well respected radio tracker/promoter, Kimberly Sinclair of Spincount Music & Promotion had this to say about Dan's abilities, " Dan is a gifted songwriter and performer producing straight forward lyrics and catchy melodies delivered with his signature country style." She goes on to say," Dan has enormous support among both his cross-Canada fans and his peers. His original songs are heartfelt, intensely compelling and often humorous. This is a unique and sophisticated talent with a promising future who will continue to reward and delight his fans".
